Charlotte Drag Unites Again to Support RAIN's AIDS WALK with Free Community Drag Show "HOPS & HEELS" at Pilot Brewing
Charlotte's drag community continues to show that drag is more than just entertainment it's a force for good. As part of the Drag With Purpose initiative, local drag artists are lacing up their boots for HOPS & HEELS, a free community drag show in support of the RAIN AIDS WALK Charlotte.
This is the second free community drag show hosted by Drag With Purpose. The first, held at NoDa Brewing Company, raised over $1,000 for RAIN proving that when drag and community come together, real change happens.
HOPS & HEELS will take place on Tuesday, May 13 at Pilot Brewing Company (1331 Central Ave, Suite 104, Charlotte, NC 28205) in the heart of Plaza Midwood. The evening kicks off with a mix and mingle at 6:00 p.m., followed by showtime at 7:00 p.m. This show is open to the public and free to attend, with donations encouraged throughout the evening to benefit RAIN's critical work supporting individuals living with HIV.
In an added twist of generosity, Pilot Brewing Company will donate $1 from every IPA sold during the event directly to RAIN AIDS WALK Charlotte.

The event will be co-hosted by Buff Faye and Erica Chanel, the current Miss Charlotte Pride, with music by DJ Vanna Vanity. The drag show will feature a dynamic lineup of local entertainers including:

This event leads up to the RAIN AIDS WALK happening on Saturday, May 31 in Uptown Charlotte. Following the walk, Drag With Purpose will host a celebratory Community Drag Brunch at Ink N? Ivy in Uptown, once again bringing the community together to raise funds and awareness for HIV/AIDS support.
As part of the walk, Drag With Purpose will proudly walk together in drag, making a powerful statement of visibility, solidarity, and love. Community members can make donations to the Drag With Purpose team or learn more by visiting: DragWithPurpose.com
RAIN (Regional AIDS Interfaith Network) has served the Charlotte region for over three decades, providing compassionate care, housing assistance, and vital prevention programs. The AIDS WALK Charlotte is the largest HIV awareness walk in the Carolinas.
