Belk Theater features state-of-the-art equipment, production and support capabilities and can host any event, from grand opera to rock to corporate annual meetings and lectures.
The theater features a contemporary European horseshoe arrangement for an intimate atmosphere and world-class acoustics. The most distant seat is less than 135 feet from the stage.
A hallmark of the theater’s design is some 2,400 “points of light” in the audience chamber, part of a dazzling fiber optic network with multi-color capabilities.
STAGE DOOR THEATERat Blumenthal Performing Arts Center
The intimate STAGE DOOR THEATER is an entertainment hot spot on Charlotte’s North College Street. With its small and flexible layout, this new theater is the perfect location to get up close with the stars on stage!
The theater is on North College Street between Trade and Fifth Street. It’s part of the Bank of America Corporate Center footprint that also includes the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center and Founders Hall.
Look for the theater’s glass entry doors on North College Street near the Fifth Street end of the block.
McGlohon Theater at Spirit Square seats 700 and has become a showplace for live performances.
Originally the First Baptist Church sanctuary, the venue was carefully restored and opened in 1980. With its stained glass windows and Byzantine dome, this historically designated space makes each event a memorable experience. McGlohon Theater features the orchestra (stage) level and the balcony level.
The theater is named in honor of the late, legendary jazz pianist Loonis McGlohon of Charlotte.
The Duke Energy Theater is a truly multi-purpose space.
It is a Black-Box theater and is completely equipped with theater lighting capabilities and sound system. The space also has beautiful stained glass windows and hardwood floors.
Knight Theater seats 1,191 within its orchestra, grand tier and mezzanine levels. A variety of dance and music shows are hosted here. It is the home theater for North Carolina Dance Theatre. The venue is physically connected and shares lobby space with the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art.
Founded in 1932, the Charlotte Symphony is the largest and most active professional performing arts organization in the central Carolinas, giving nearly 100 performances each season and reaching an annual attendance of 200,000 listeners.
