The UNC Clef Hangers is the oldest a cappella
group at the University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill. Since its founding in 1977, this
premiere all-male ensemble has delighted
audiences in the United States, Europe, and
the Caribbean. Known for their high energy, tight
vocal harmony, and traditional bow ties and
button-clad vests, the Clef Hangers have won
numerous Contemporary A Cappella Recording
Awards (CARA's ) for their vocal talent and
musical arrangements, and their recordings
have been included on various Best of College
A Cappella (BOCA ) and "Sing" vocal compilation
CD's. They have released 18 professionally-
produced albums since inception, the most
recent being "Twist" and "Carols from the Hill."
