The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told |
Thursday February 02, 2012 thru Saturday February 18, 2012 |
After the success of Southern Baptist Sissies and the
sold out houses for The Irish Curse, Queen City
Theatre Company presents “The Most Fabulous Story
Ever Told” a play by Paul Rudnick (“Jeffrey”, “The
Addams Family Values”) .
A long-running off-Broadway hit, “The Most
Fabulous Story Ever Told” presents a gleefully
outrageous reinterpretation of Creation. Adam
and Steve begin their journey in the Garden of
Eden. After being banished from Eden, they encounter Jane and Mabel, who insist they were the earth’s original couple. Together, these innocently bawdy Garden-dwellers are on a journey of wonder and exploration, from their bodily functions to the name of the animals and, ultimately, to the nature of their relationship with their Creator. In their adventures, the quartet survives the centuries, including time in the Ark during the Flood years, slavery in an Egypt ruled by a supremely effete Pharaoh, and life in contemporary New York.
