This park's got it all. At the Historic Latta Plantation House, costumed re-enactors cook, embroider, and, to the delight of 8-year-old-boys, fight in a Civil War battle. The Carolina Raptor Center, where injured birds of prey are rehabilitated, appeals to future veterinarians and bird lovers. Kids love walking on the wooded nature trail, listening for bird calls, and looking eye-to-eye at eagles and hawks. What would make your kid's happiness complete? Did someone say "pony ride?"
